3940 Remember that satan is like a roaring lion seeking to destroy. Just because you are ‘saved’ does not mean you are always safe. We must stand strong in the truth and strength of God. Satan’s agenda ends in death.

3837 Much confusion and pain come to those who depart from God, for they have chosen a ways that leads to destruction. If you think you can abuse God and get by you are deluded and will wander in confusion.

3778 When we regard our duties for the Lord as a drudgery and a pain we offer God less than our best and He is not satisfied. God wants our best, for He gave His best for us. We must give God our all.

456 As we look to the Lord we will continue in the way of holiness and not stray. If we stop looking to the Lord we will be full of darkness. Soon we will take on the attributes of the heathen.

3775 When people seek to please themselves they live for the flesh and bring about much distress. Do not yield to the whims of carnality, for it will lead to destruction. Deny the flesh and live.

3756 We are not meant to be full of lies but full of truth which the Living God gives. If you follow lies you will end in madness. Stand on the truth and refute the lies of the enemy, even if you are persecuted for it.

3712 Seek to be absorbed in the Living God. Find your strength and glory in Him. Don’t join the troop of wandering, deceived fools who have been separated from God. Be thankful you can obey God and be kept.
