3778 When we regard our duties for the Lord as a drudgery and a pain we offer God less than our best and He is not satisfied. God wants our best, for He gave His best for us. We must give God our all.

456 As we look to the Lord we will continue in the way of holiness and not stray. If we stop looking to the Lord we will be full of darkness. Soon we will take on the attributes of the heathen.

3777 Even though we live in evil times when wicked men wax bold, we are not meant to be governed by circumstances or tormented by the fears that stalk the heathen. Put your trust in God, for He is well-able.

455 As we trust in the Lord there is no good He will withhold from us. God takes pleasure in blessing those who believe Him. When we murmur and complain we bring about our own problems.

3776 The man who receives instruction and correction will be made wise. Only fools refuse the guiding hand of God. When we embrace God’s guidance He looks at us like sons and daughters of His Kingdom.

454 God knows the ones who are His. He also knows the thieves and robbers who claim His name yet walk in the ways of the wicked one. Those who love God will seek to obey Him and reverence His name.

3775 When people seek to please themselves they live for the flesh and bring about much distress. Do not yield to the whims of carnality, for it will lead to destruction. Deny the flesh and live.

453 Our God is the God of righteousness and holiness, there is none like Him. In this hour many refuse to repent, wallowing in wickedness. No one can stop God’s wrath when it is unleashed.
