3762 God does not desire to continually punish His people but to direct them in the way of life. Yet when His people rebel He is forced to punish them. Many claim God’s name yet follow the ways of the heathen.

452 In this hour many believe the lies and imaginations of wicked men. Many are abandoned to evil and therefore hate the true messengers of God. Many would rather die in their sins instead of repent.

3761 We are called to serve God in gladness, not sadness. God will lead and guide us as we trust Him. In this twisted generation God will give us great mercy as we look to Him. Do not trust your own religious works.

451 When God’s people walk in obedience they will accomplish His will. Yet in this hour many follow their carnal reasoning, seeking the approval of man. Works done for the approval of man will not stand before God.

3760 God’s people are fools, for they think they can get by on God. They have believed lies and are rebellious, going in their own way. If you refuse the council and instruction of God you will be destroyed.

450 In this hour we have been lied to and fed deceit by compromising coverings. Yet God is raising up a new people who will appreciate the sword of His Word. If we love the Lord we must let the truth rule us.

3759 God’s people are meant to listen to Him, not being high-minded and arrogant. Yet in this hour many refuse to listen to the Lord but listen to the council of their evil hearts instead. Stay humble before the Lord.

449 God controls all things. When you see evil come on the earth, know that He is allowing it because of the sins of His people. God can turn His people over to cruel masters if they forsake Him.
