440 When we yield to the Lord we yield to life. Yet when men play the game of religion they cut themselves off from the life. God must judge sin in His people if they are to continue in right standing with Him.

3729 What a grief it is to God that He must call His own people to repent. God desires we walk uprightly, calling the lost to repentance. Yet instead His people are idolatrous fools whom He must call to repentance.

439 Our God is full of forgiveness and He desires that those who serve Him walk in the same spirit. If we do not forgive, holding grudges, we keep ourselves out of the flow of forgiveness God has for us.

3728 Be ever thankful that God leads and guides us, keeping us in His truth as we focus on Him. God takes pleasure in those who obey Him. We must stand strong for the truth in this wicked generation.

438 As we obey the Lord we are made strong. Yet when we yield to disobedience we are made weak. When people seek to love and obey God they will be made strong. Check yourself for compromise.

3727 God’s people are meant to come forth rejoicing in His many blessings. Do not be complaining and looking for evil but look for the goodness of God and give Him thanks and praise.

437 The Living God is the strength of His people. As we look to Him we shall be made strong. In this hour of great darkness God will raise up a people of light who will stand for the truth.
