368 God is our provision. He wants us to look to Him for our needs. Yet His people are whorish, turning to the arm of flesh, then complaining they never have enough. If you look to the flesh you will be cursed.

3545 God intends that His people know Him and walk in His strength. As we continue to look to Him we will receive of Him. In this wicked generation we must seek to please God, not seeking the gods of the heathen.

367 God never desires His people would be pretenders, hiding themselves from their sins and from Him. God’s Spirit truth will separate the precious from the vile. Those who belong to God will bow down and obey.

3544 God never intends that His people take up the ways of the heathen and walk in the same. We must walk in the merciful light and truth of who God is. The way of the heathen is the way of destruction.

366 It’s a fight to survive, for there are many opposing forces that attack and devour God’s people. When we won’t fight the good fight of faith we will be overtaken and knocked out of the race.

3543 Those who are truly surrendered to God will not try to dictate to Him and demand of Him. So many in this hour desire only their own lusts and desires, so they clamor at God, demanding He give them what they want.

365 God’s Word is like a sword of fire. Wherever it goes it cuts and burns. Rejoice when the sword of fires comes, for it will cut us free of the iniquity and vileness the wicked one uses to ensnare us.

3526 There are many lying prophets in this hour who deceive God’s people. Do not walk in the way of fools but walk in God’s truth. When God’s people refuse to believe Him they are taken captive by deceivers and destroyed.

364 God desires to commune with His people that He can partake of them and they can partake of Him. Yet God’s people separate themselves from Him, seek refuge in the world, and end in delusion and madness.

3525 Focus on God and He will strengthen you. We must not be overwhelmed by the fears that beset the heathen. In these treacherous times evil men are all about, yet as we love and obey God He will keep us.

• 363 God desires that we believe Him. As we do there is nothing we will not be able to do as we go forth in obedience. In this age so many are covered with doubt, fear, and unbelief which keep them from obeying God.

3524 As we pay heed to the Lord He will lead and guide us in the truth. God is well-able to keep those who seek to please Him. Yet often God’s people are wayward, refusing to listen, and are taken to destruction.

362 When God calls His people unto Himself it is so He can shelter them under His wings of love. God does not treat His people like a cruel master but as a tender-hearted Savior who loves and cares for His own.

3523 When men hold an unduly high opinion of themselves they become vile and disgusting to the Lord. If you become arrogant and high-minded you set yourself up for damnation. Walk in humility before God.

361 The Living God cares for those who are His—those who love Him and walk with Him in obedience. God is not cruel as some think but is merciful and will pour out goodness to us in great abundance.
