3522 When men yield themselves to a novice and proclaim him King, they are fools who will end in a ditch. God is grieved with this generation who follow foolish novices who lead them to destruction.

360 God desires His people would know Him as He is. Many of God’s people know Him only as the historical God who once moved. When men claim God no longer moves they make Him into a dead idol.

3521 Keep your trust and confidence in the Living God. Thank God you’re not governed by the anxiety and fear that plague the heathen. Battle against fear and despair, for we must not be defeated by them.

359 If God’s people would take what He provides it would be sufficient. Many fools complain that what God provides is not good enough or what they need. Yet if we give thanks we will always have enough.

3520 God has called us to walk uprightly in the strength of who He is. Many are proud boasters, talking but not walking before the Lord. These are a shame to God. The Lord will never lead us into hypocrisy and deceit.

358 Many are deceived in that they imagine they have great abundance if they have great possessions. They are trusting in that which can never be true security. We must trust God who miraculously multiplies.

3519 God never intended that His people would follow after the ways of the heathen, for it will only lead to deception and despair. Subject yourself to the Lord, seek to stay in His way, and you will be blessed.

357 God desires a triumphant people who walk victoriously. God never intended that we be defeated. Jesus didn’t sacrifice His life that we would be overcome by sin but that we could have power over the enemy.

356 God never chose Israel because of how great they were but because He desired to give glory unto His name. Even now God chooses the wretched, weak, poor, and needy to give glory to His mighty salvation power.

355 God’s people are guilty of robbing Him, for they will not give Him what is rightfully His. They take and take and take from Him and then desire more, all the while thinking they have done no wrong.

3497 God never desires that His people would be greedy, for it will lead to their destruction. Do not want more than you need, but be satisfied with what you have. If you are governed by greed you will never be satisfied.

354 God desires to gather His people unto Himself, yet He can’t do it because His people are full of self-idolatry and whoredoms from serving other gods. They long to partake of evil instead of God’s goodness.

3496 If you really knew how much God cares for us we would always trust Him to bring us forth. If we hope in the Lord we will never be disappointed. God delights to bless His people with His mighty power.

353 If a water channel is clogged men will clean it. Yet many claiming to be God’s people are clogged with worldliness and sin and will not let Him clean them out so His living water can flow through them.

3495 Build upon the Living God, for His is the rock of salvation and you will not build in vain. When men build on any other foundation than the Lord their work is in vain and will end in a heap of rubble.
