3274 Be ever trusting that God is able. God intends that His people would quiet themselves and trust in Him. The enemy may tempt you to rant and rage against God, yet if you be still and focus on God He will keep you.

268 When we consecrate ourselves to God we will receive the power of who He is. So many are separated from God, not unto Him. God desires to pour out upon those who consecrate their lives to Him.

3273 Because men are continually stubborn against God, they push Him to the point that He must release His wrath and fury against them. Hypocrites who refuse to listen to His warnings will be destroyed.

267 God desires that we come forth in the revolutionary fire He is bringing in this generation. Many in churches are fatted and full, dead in religious stagnation, for they will not seek God’s face.

3272 Be every thankful that you can look to God and trust Him, for He will keep you even in the midst of the storms. We are not called to be destroyed by those things which devour the heathen.

3271 When men appoint themselves as counselors, then counsel God’s people away from Him, they are fools. We are not called to walk in carnality but in the life of the Spirit. Beware self-appointed counselors.

265 God desires a people alive in the Spirit, not like dead religious robots. We must not be like the heathen who give themselves to vain, repetitious prayer in idolatry. The Living God wants a living people.

3266 God desires a people who will walk in obedience to Him. Yet so often God’s own people are proud and high-minded, walking in their own ways which lead only to defeat and separation from Him.

3265 We are called to keep our confidence in God, yet in this wicked generation many turn from Him to follow the ways of the heathen like adulterous women. God draws near to those who keep His standards.

263 We live in a time when men are sluggards and wasters, pursuing wickedness and evil. Many of God’s people waste the precious provision of life He gives, doing nothing for the redemption of souls.

3264 When you consider the multitudes that worship dumb idols who can do nothing for them, be thankful that you can worship the Living God. Those who worship idols become dull and dumb like them.

261 God desires that His people would trust in Him. As we trust the Lord we will not be left to wander in confusion and delusion. Carnal men will trust everything and anything except the Living God.

3258 There are multitudes of false Gods who appear to be enchanting, yet they do not care for those who follow them but lead them into death and destruction. The Living God truly cares for those who love Him.

3255 God will raise up those who will follow Him in obedience. In this rebellious generation the Lord will have a righteous remnant who will obey. God is not pleased with those who walk in lawlessness.

253 God desires His people exercise moderation in all things. Yet because many pay no heed to God’s laws they are given to wine bibbing, gluttony, and excesses of all kinds. They suffer because they refuse moderation.
